Toolpusher: This person will usually work on the rig floor or in the rig offices. Has a background, which includes many years as an experienced driller. Some of their responsibilities may be on the main deck. Known as the boss and is the overall supervisor of the rig. The list of tasks include handling paperwork and personnel, authorizes supply orders, scheduling the work on the rig, promotions, termination's, supplying technical information and works with the oil company to coordinate plans with the drilling department. Has an average salary of £57,000 or US$78,000.
