The following features a brief outline of the duties of the following deck crew jobs on an offshore oil rig.

Painter: This person is responsible for the offshore oilrig painting. Will be required to work at heights with scaffolding and assistants. Has a salary of £25,000 or US$40,500. The Barge engineer is the painter's supervisor. This job requires working at height on scaffolding in a work harness. May build own scaffolding. Can have an assistant if the rig does not have a Roustabout.
