This group of workers are generalized into an other group because they don't work in a team and work more independently all over the oil rig. Their supervisor is generally the offshore installation managers or OIM person. These employees work all around the ship with maintenance, repair, communications, assistants to others, storing and maintaining supplies. Each job consists of a fairly generous salary with the physically demanding work varying between jobs. These workers keep the ship running smoothly in all aspects of the oil rig. When there isn't urgent work for these workers to do they may help out in other areas as assistants to get an understanding of how an oil rig operates.
